Ha, guess what Spam Already from my two day old account. What a shocker. ( I’ve been experimenting with Photoshop and have made some what I think are pretty cool wallpapers involving Channel 9 and Windows Vista. You can look at those over at the download’s section feel free to mess around with them. It was a bit of trouble trying to smooth the edges on something’s there’s no tool that I see that can soften the edges but what do I know about Photoshop. = )

Wow, Today I acutally could get my digital camera to act as a webcam! The reaseon is beacuse they acutally updated there drivers! All of there drivers listed on there site didn't work on Linux or Windows XP It just always came up with an error message saying Could't find file so on and so on.... So now I have a webcam and I'm trying to get It hooked up through my FTP Server. Will see how that goes. www.geeksnerdstech.com/login.html. Windows Users use Active X and Others use Java. OSX? WIN03? What?

You know I don't like OSX very much but I thought I would see how It looks on Windows...

It looks alright I used a program called FlyakiteOSX it's brought my system to a crawl on startup but other than that it's great. I'm acutally running in on Windows Server 2003 R2 as you see in the desktop photo. It was pretty difficult(and a pain) to tweak Server 03 to accept the login screen but it worked.

By the way blogger has horrible Image options you can't do embedded images :(

As for the icons they are a little bit sleek and smooth looking but not much change from earlier versions.

I was editing my template trying to make things look better deleted a little bit of stuff, then saved then published it. Well, after I publish it I click on view blog. Nothing, white screen with the blogger bar so I refreshed the page nothing. Then I went back to my template and saw that all of the script was gone except for the blogger bar. After beating myself up for a few minutes, I went and re-did the template and luckily all of my posts were there execpt for the add-ins I put. So, the moral don't publish unless you preview it. Man....

Apple and Simplicity

Why is Apple advertising there Mac computers now? I think I have a good reason. The reason is that Apple has already proved that the iPod is simpler, sexier, and easier to use. But why with the iMac's and iBooks? Because of the simplicity? Yes. And why is Apple wrong with this? Because nobody is going to buy a $1,000 iMac for simplicity. Anybody in there right mind that wants a basic OS, word processor and Internet access isn't going to buy a one grand iMac or iBook. Why? Because you can get all of those features and more with a cheap $400 HP or emachines. Yes, the iMac might be great to look and to see the visuals in the OS but no one is going to buy it just for that. As David Pogue said at a TED talk the only reason the iPod came so popular is because the simplicity of it. Also, Robert Scoble commented about the iPod in his exit interview at Channel 9 stating that the iPod has no features at all. Also, with people that want more in-depth features aren't going to buy an Apple either. Sure it runs Office, and is quicker to setup. But no one is going to pay an extra $500 to have that luxury. You may bring up Bootcamp, but you still have to pay out of the nose to do that. The bottomline is if Apple wants more people to switch over they need to have some kind of advantage, and right now there is no advantage.

Gabber

Sometimes I come and look and my blog and look down at the gabber chat client to see if there are anyone else reading it at the same time sometimes there are, and sometimes there's not. You might have noticed a ding sound if you have your speakers up if you do then that's the gabber client . So for the few times that people are viewing it i tend to type Hello!!, or something to that effect but for some reason when I do that people instanly leave. It's happend at least five times. I don't know if it's the sound or If it's the fact that you can know that someone else is reading it at the same time. So know I like to type exclamation points and see what people do. So, If it happens to you don't run away! :)

Archive Bug

Somehow I have a Post Archive problem as you can see to the right of the page I have posts for June and July '06 then a post from December 31 1999. Hmm...

Edit: Ahha, I figured it out those post we're done through Word '07 and since I removed the CMOS battery my system time got screwed up. I guess Word publishes posts from your system time rather than staying in sync with the settings on blogger. Yes, I have tried to delete those extra posts but for some reason my control panel under blogger won't allow me. I guess there's another problem to MS Word there. Anybody have a link to report bugs for Office??? :)

BIOS Settings In XP?

As I posted this over at Channel 9.

I have a problem with my pc. I recently adjusted the BIOS settings on my computer, because I installed a new graphics card. For some reason my graphics cards, modem were disabled. Now when I boot my computer up there's nothing but a black screen, until XP boots up. Now my question is can I adjust or change my BIOS settings under Windows XP? Or reset them somehow? Thanks For Your Help In Advance.

Edit: I've already removed the battery from the motherboard, and that didn't help.

I acutually fixed it by removing the battery then started the computer, shutted down. Then stuck the battery back in and then started the computer up.

Fo.rtuito.us is a great service I recently tried it out from hearing about it on digg. It’s coming along, I believe it’s still in its beta stages but check it out, I’m not sure. But it’s a great way if you want to meet a complete random person. Now I think they have new features so you can pick someone of your opposite sex-So that’s great. The only setback is some members put up ridiculous photos. Hehe.

Cool Blog Widgets

As you can see in my over done blog that there are lots of cool widgets. You can find these widgets at this site. They update there site with new widgets everyday. So no older blog content! I was just reading how many hits I had to my new blog it counted 0. I just posted it up on my old one so, will see if the numbers go up. I looked at wordpress the other day and at least 20 or more people we’re subscribed. Well, I’ve been posting through Word ’07 and It works great, I have a few problems with the pictures, but after all it’s still beta.

Windows Live Messenger Problems

I posted this over at Channel 9 the other day trying to get help and no one responded with an answer so I’ll post it again.

have this problem with Windows Live Messenger at the top where it displays your log-in name instead of my e-mail address it displays odd things(as in the photo below) I've tried to log-in and out over and over, and tried shutting down messenger, even rebooted. But still doesn’t work.

New Blog!

Hey, I have a new blog. I decided to go to blogger and not use Wordpress anymore. The reason Wordpress did not work with Word ’07 or Sharepoint ’07. I have to say that blogger is so much easier to use, but I miss all of the features that came with Wordpress. But Oh Well. I’ll stick with this now. Here’s a few comparison’s if you can’t decide between blogger or Wordpress.

Blogger:

Cons: No features, or very little. Ok there are some features but not many just basic.

Pros:

Blogger is just for like your beginner blogger or someone that just wants to set it and forget it.

Wordpress:
Pros:

Lots of themes and customizable, Blog Stats, Pages linked to, advanced settings, setting for extra pages, customizable side bar.

Cons:

Not great for the beginner blogger. Hard to find your way around.
